Hello and welcome to my website.

I’ve been inspired by stories for as long as I can remember. Firstly, having them read to me, then reading, then writing. But life and the need to earn a living got in the way and after university, I spent several years in the corporate world, in sales, marketing and recruitment roles. However, one morning in 2001, I woke up with the mad but very clear idea to write a musical. I met a very talented composer/lyricist who liked my story concept and worked with me to develop a script, as I didn’t write music! We put it through readings and workshops with West End actors culminating in an amateur performance of the piece which was enthusiastically received. Butterfly Hero and The Salsa Sisters followed quickly after – and I was hooked!

I spent 2017 studying the form of screenplay writing to equip myself for a different medium and my first script, King Babylon (re-named Nebuchadnezzar), won top prize in a film competition in the US. Hooked again!

Now, in 2022, I write full time. A mix of musicals and screenplays.
